unit of United States Power Squadrons Sail and Power Boating

  The Squadron has one main goal "to promote excellent boating education to ourselves and the public". The squadron is available to join and to teach year-round. If it's nautical we know about it.

OUR OBJECTIVES ARE SIMPLE

We strive to associate selectively, as a boating fraternity, with congenial persons of good character having a common love and appreciation of boating.

Benefits of Joining - Contact the South Hills Power Squadron Now

We encourage and promote yachting, power and sail and to provide a practical means to foster fraternal and social relationships among our members interested in boating.

We are always trying to better ourselves in the boating disciplines through education and a shared love of the activity.

Membership in the USPS is not a right;

it is a privilege.

There are 3 types of membership in the USPS.

  • Active
  • Family
  • Honorary (restricted to one year term)

Active members have all of the privileges of membership in USPS while the others have limited privileges.

The squadron holds many classes not only for the public but for our own betterment as well. Upon joining you will have opened up a vast horizon to yourself that will go far beyond the achievement of what is referred to as a "Captain's License". We offer many and varied courses in all aspects of continuing boating education.

There are many reasons to take a safe boating course and be eligible to join the United States Power Squadrons. We prefer to see it this way;
